are what makes life worthwhile.
For instance. a drive in the country. Every road leads somewhere right? Perhaps to an area where there is a river or, a lake. A place where you can enjoy and take in all that nature has to offer.
Volunteering. Such a wonderful feeling to give back to others in need. Perhaps volunteering at an elderly home, and spending time with someone who may be lonely. Recently, my family volunteered (Hearts for the Homeless). What an experience. Giving your time to others is of one's free will, and such a gift. Reaching out is quite simple and rewarding.
I absolutely love the laughter of children.
Organzing photos by scrapbooking.
Sharing ideas.
Reading a book.
The sound of my 12 year old whistling. His whistling is a sign that he's happy.
Lying in bed at night listening to the rain fall. (Minus the thunder of course).
The sound of coffee beans being ground and the anticipation of the aroma thereafter of freshly brewed coffee. Then, the first sip - AH!
Watching my 4 year old nephew try to skip.
I love to hear birds chirp.
The smiles on my boy's face.
A walk in the park with a friend or, someone you hold near and dear to your heart.
Take time to smell the flowers. Literally!
I could go on and on...I hope by now you get my point. How often do you take notice of life's simplicities?
I hope you have enjoyed what I feel are the simple things in life that make my life all the more worthwhile.
I agree with you amiga, I have learned to enjoy life through my kids and for my kids. I have even made buying fruit and vegetables an experience by going to the farmers' market down town. The look of my boys' faces when they get to sample and buy their fruit.....priceless.
